Documentation: This deliverable must be submitted as a soft copy .pdf report uploaded into Slate including Cover page with the Client’s name, Application name, Team Members. Each page must be numbered with a header and footer. The document must also contain a Table of Contents.

Deliverable Requirements

This deliverable consists of four parts:

  1. Project Implementation & Support Plan
  2. Project Reflection Summary (Complete Survey on SLATE)
  3. Capstone Video Trailer

Part 1 - Project Implementation & Support Plan (12 Marks)

Please document the steps required to fully implement the system in the client’s business environment.

Implementation & Support Plan

Implementation Activities

What steps are necessary to deploy the product into a production environment from your development/testing environment? In other words, please identify in detail how you will deliver the product to the client so that the client can take over and maintain the software. Explain each party's responsibilities. If customer is not proceeding with the project, still create a plan how you would deliver the product to them.

Conversion Activities

What type of conversion are needed to move your product into the clients environment, if any? Identify what modifications might be needed to move into the production environment. How much time is involved from start to start and finish?

Implementation Resources

Who is involved in the implementation? What will each person do? When? What other human resources outside of your group are required to implement this prototype? How much do they cost?
Consider risk analysis. Include as least 2 “what-if” scenarios. Include partial failures, contingency planning, etc.

Implementation Costs

What is the total cost of the implementation of the prototype? Breakdown the total cost by activity and resource? Use activity based costing to determine costs.

Training

How would you train the client to use the product? What is the extent of training required? Who will do the training or will you provide a training video? Instructions or Video on how to use the system with all different user types must also be provided.

Conclusion

Do you foresee any potential problems with the implementation? Are there any factors outside your control that may affect your implementation plan?

Part 2 Project Reflection Summary (2 Marks)

Each member of the project team is expected to make a submission of their reflections to earn this mark.

Please fill out the survey on Slate to complete this portion of the deliverable.

Among other questions, you will be asked:

  • How has the experience benefited you?
  • What should we stop doing?
  • What should we continue doing?
  • What should we start doing?

Part 3 Capstone Video Trailer (6 Marks)

The purpose of the trailer is to attract interest in the project so the challenge will be deciding on the most noteworthy parts of the system and presenting them in abbreviated form. The trailer must achieve that in no more than 2 minutes and 30 seconds but no less than 2 minutes and must include audio commentary. GET CREATIVE!
